Michael Lee of the AJC recalls that the Hawks lost their second game of the season to the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 31.

On that night in Chicago's United Center, former Bulls general manager Jerry Krause was unemployed and being honored as the architect of that dynasty of the 1990s.

The Bulls' coach was Bill Cartwright and they ran the triangle offense. Third-year forward Tyson Chandler and center Eddy Curry had a career-high 22 rebounds and scored a season-high 22 points, respectively. And, Scottie Pippen reverted to his days as Michael Jordan's trusty sidekick -- hitting a clutch 3-pointer, a driving layup and taking a charge on Dion Glover -- in the fourth quarter of a 100-94 victory.

That feels like so long ago. Because almost three months later, the Hawks will welcome an almost unrecognizable Bulls team to Philips Arena tonight.
