OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) Speedy Claxton, Jason Richardson and Mike Dunleavy scored 15 points apiece in the Golden State Warriors' third straight victory, 101-81 over the reeling Chicago Bulls on Friday night.
Erick Dampier had 13 points and 10 rebounds in limited playing time, and Calbert Cheaney added 13 points as seven Warriors scored in double figures in their fifth straight home win over Chicago.
Jamal Crawford scored 16 points for the Bulls, who barely contended in their ninth loss in 10 games _ and their seventh straight road loss. At 13-34, Chicago is a half-game ahead of Orlando for last place overall in the NBA.
Timberwolves 97, Lakers 84
LOS ANGELES (AP) Latrell Sprewell scored 35 points, Sam Cassell added 28 and Minnesota won for the 21st time in its last 26 games.
The Wolves improved the NBA's best road record to 17-8 by outscoring Lakers 32-18 in the fourth quarter. Cassell had 16 points and made all eight of his free throw attempts in the final period.
Cassell also had 11 assists, and Kevin Garnett had 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Shaquille O'Neal scored 22 points for the Lakers, who dropped to 7-11 without the injured Karl Malone. Kareem Rush added 17 points, including two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, starting in the place of injured Kobe Bryant.
