Mike Bibby had 19 points and seven rebounds for the Kings, who matched a franchise record with 16 3-pointers while improving the NBA's best record to 38-13 with their eighth victory in nine games.
The Kings had one of the best games in their prolific season even without center Brad Miller, who sprained his foot in the All-Star game, and Chris Webber, who began an eight-game suspension.
Ricky Davis scored 32 points and Paul Pierce had 27 in the opener of a four-game road trip for the Celtics.

LOS ANGELES (AP) Kobe Bryant scored 31 points including a tiebreaking, left-handed layup with 31.8 seconds remaining to lift Los Angeles over Portland.
Bryant also had eight rebounds and a season-high 10 assists as the Lakers won in their first action after the All-Star break.
Portland's Shareef Abdur-Rahim missed a jumper with about 12 seconds left that could have tied it. Shaquille O'Neal got the rebound and quickly fed the ball to Bryant, who made 1-of-2 free throws with seven seconds to play.
Damon Stoudamire missed a 3-pointer and Horace Grant got the rebound as time expired.
O'Neal had 21 points and 11 rebounds. Ruben Patterson scored 11 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Blazers, who lost their third straight game after winning seven of eight. Abdur-Rahim added 16 points _ eight in the final period.
