TORONTO (AP) The Toronto Raptors activated Jalen Rose on Sunday and placed forward Robert Archibald on the injured list with a sore lower back.

Rose missed 16 games with four broken bones in his left hand. He had not played since undergoing surgery Feb. 10.

``He's coming back about two weeks early,'' Toronto coach Kevin O'Neill said.

Acquired from Chicago on Dec. 1, Rose is averaging 14.4 points and 4.7 assists in 49 games this season.

Archibald averaged 1.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 25 games.

The Raptors lost 13 of 15 heading into Sunday's game against Atlanta. Rose started and wore a protective wrap over the hand.
