The Chicago Bulls have taken on a minor league feel in an effort to spark something.  Anything.  Unfortunately the results seem to be getting worse rather than better, and things do not appear to be changing for the better any time soon.

"We gave up a dunk on the jump ball," coach Scott Skiles said, recalling Tuesday night's blowout loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. "That rarely happens in grade school. That's a lack of awareness and competitiveness we can't tolerate. We've got to move in a different direction and away from that."

And that different direction is?  The first unit for Wednesday's practice was Kirk Hinrich, Antonio Davis, Ronald Dupree, Linton Johnson and Paul Shirley.  That is three players who have played in the minor leagues this season, while the guys who were supposed to be the teams future - Tyson Chandler, Eddy Curry and Jamal Crawford - were notable exclusions.

"Yeah, anything is on the table right now," Skiles said when asked about more changes. "I've tried to make it clear: I'm not down on this team."

Skiles insisted he's not even down on Marcus Fizer and Eddie Robinson, who never play.

"But we're talking about players who have been here through this whole period," he said. "It's fair to look at other people. [Maybe] other combinations can win games. You just can't stand pat and eventually these guys are going to play at a level to get wins."

Tyson Chandler and Jamal Crawford were both casualties of a long hard practice Wednesday, Chandler with a bumped knee and Crawford with a tweaked groin. Both are expected to play Friday.
