SEATTLE (AP) Ray Allen scored 18 of his 26 points in the third quarter, then hit two late free throws. The Sonics extended their season-high winning streak to six games and dealt a setback to the Jazz, who fell a half game behind Denver in the chase for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The Jazz, trying to reach the playoffs for the 21st straight season, erased most of a 22-point third-quarter deficit with a furious fourth-quarter comeback. But the Sonics iced it with free throws, ending Utah's three-game winning streak.
Trail Blazers 91, Clippers 85
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) Damon Stoudamire hit a 3-pointer with 25.3 seconds left to give Portland the lead for good. He finished with a season-high 32 points.
The Blazers, who have won six of their last eight, are a game behind Denver in the race for the eighth and final playoff spot. They have made the playoffs 21 straight seasons.
The Clippers, out of the playoff picture, have lost five in a row and 13 of their last 15. Los Angeles has lost 10 straight at the Rose Garden.
Warriors 98, Bucks 89
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) Cliff Robinson scored 18 points and matched his career high with nine assists in the Warriors' fifth straight victory.
Mike Dunleavy scored 18 points and Erick Dampier had 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Warriors, who led from the opening minute and fought off the Bucks' late charge to snap an eight-game losing streak against Milwaukee.
The Warriors had lost five straight home games to the Bucks, who got 24 points from Michael Redd and 20 from Desmond Mason. Milwaukee lost for the sixth time in seven games, falling below .500 (35-36) for the first time since Dec. 30.
