_Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash, Mavericks. Nowitzki had 35 points and 18 rebounds, and Nash scored 31 points and handed out 10 assists to help Dallas beat Cleveland 126-109.

_Joe Smith, Bucks, tied his season high with 25 points and added 14 rebounds, sending Milwaukee past Indiana 95-86.

_Kobe Bryant, Lakers, scored 23 points as Los Angeles routed New Orleans 107-88 for its ninth straight win.

STINGY SIXERS

Philadelphia held Golden State to just six points in the third quarter of its 95-71 victory on Tuesday night. The six points were the fewest allowed by Philadelphia in a quarter.

STRONG IN DEFEAT

Four Cleveland players scored 20-plus points, but it wasn't enough to keep the Cavaliers from losing to Dallas 126-109 on Tuesday night for their sixth loss in seven games. LeBron James scored 28 points, Carlos Boozer had 23 points and 20 rebounds, Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 26 and Lee Nailon had 23. The loss also clinched a losing record for Cleveland for a sixth straight season.

SIDELINED

Philadelphia All-Star guard Allen Iverson will miss the rest of the season because of persistent pain in his right knee, the same injury that has kept him out of 14 of the last 20 games. Iverson, a three-time NBA scoring champion, was the league's second-leading scorer, averaging 26.4 points. Without Iverson, the Sixers, who defeated Golden State 95-71 on Tuesday night, have won eight of their last 10 with a seven-game home winning streak.
