So, you thought the Heat's Caron Butler had a phenomenal rookie season? Well, have you seen him lately?

''I think I'm there and beyond,'' the second-year forward said, contrasting his recent play with that of his rookie year, when he finished third in voting for Rookie of the Year.

``I think all aspects of my game are better.''

You might not have heard Butler make that bold a statement a month ago. But his game has taken off in recent weeks, and not coincidentally, so has the Heat, which will clinch a playoff spot if Toronto defeats Cleveland tonight.

Since March 14, Butler is averaging 15 points and 8.4 rebounds. In that span, he has set career highs in rebounds twice and has led the Heat in rebounding in four of its past five games.
