The Nets tied their best-of-seven series with the Pistons in Game 4 and they did it with chaos.

Known best for their run-and-gun play on offense led by Jason Kidd, the Nets are creating a ragged style o play with their defense.  This has clearly worked so far to bother the Pistons.

His court vision legendary, his passing skills uncanny, Kidd is also a specialist to anchor the defense.  The energy and defensive abilities of Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson make the Nets squad a formidable challenge.  When they?re using their ample athleticism to scramble, press and get into the passing lanes, it can be a semi-nightmare.

The Pistons are finding this out, turning the ball over four consecutive times in 50 seconds.  The Nets forced seven turnovers in eight possessions and turned a two-point game into an 11-point lead.  From there the Nets coasted to the 94-79 victory.

"We call it a frenzy, where you're trying to continue to up the pace, up the tempo. We've done it for the last three years. We try to be as disruptive as possible for 48 minutes," said Net coach Lawrence Frank.

?Everybody was talking before this series about Detroit's defense,? Jason Collins said. ?But we know our defense, we get after people and we force people to take tough shots. When we do that, we run the basketball and get in transition.?

They Nets will try to keep the pressure on the Pistons even as the series shifts back to the Palace of Auburn Hills for Game 5 tomorrow night.
