According to executive director Jim Tooley, Carmello Anthony will find out in a week if he will be selected to Team USA or not.

"He's still in the mix," Tooley said of the Nuggets rookie, though he granted that the team already has a strong contingent at small forward, Anthony's position. "I'd hate to speak for the committee because they're the ones that analyze that, but it's not as obvious because we have a lot of players at that spot."

The team already has LeBron James, Richard Jefferson and Shawn Marion to play the position. ESPN.com reported Monday that Miami's Dwyane Wade is more likely to make the team than Anthony because he can play point guard.

Anthony's agent, Calvin Andrews, said he is uncertain which way USA Basketball is leaning.
