Jason Kidd's knee surgery was a success and the Nets may have come upon an unexpected cash windfall when Rodney Rogers surprisingly did not excercise the final year on his contract.

Rogers may have failed to file his notice on time, therefore losing $3.355 million and becoming an unrestricted free agent.  

Kidd's knee surgery went without a hitch.  "The doctor said it went very well," said team CEO Rod Thorn.
