"The Timberwolves and the agent for Troy Hudson have moved toward a deal that would keep the free-agent guard in Minnesota for seasons to come."
They are close to a mutli-year deal that looks like it may be up to 6 years; and may be for the amount of the MLE. A similar deal to what Stephen Jackson, Brian Cardinal, and Hidayet Turkoglu are going to recieve.
The amount of his contract will also depend on how many games he plays; because he is coming off an injury riddled season.
The Timberwolves also have free agents in Fred Hoiberg and Trenton Hassell.
"Because the Wolves have "early bird" rights on Hudson, they are able to offer him a deal up to the mid-level exception, but would still be able to use that exception on other players. If they were to lose Hudson to another team, they would have to use that money to find his replacement."
