The Denver Nuggets have pulled off one of the major coups of the offseason by acquiring power forward Kenyon Martin from the New Jersey Nets via sign and trade, according to the team's official website.

Martin, the former first overall pick, averaged 16.7 ppg and a career-high 9.5 rebounds last season and is well known for his hard defense, never back down attitude and his athletic ability.

The Nets will receive three future first-round draft choices in return for the high flying forward.

"We are overjoyed to be adding a player of Kenyon?s ability," said Vandeweghe. "He is truly one of the elite power forwards in this league and will be an asset to our team and the Denver community. This deal could not have been made without the support and commitment from our tremendous owner, Mr. Stan Kroenke."
