The Warriors announced today they have re-signed swingman Calbert Cheaney.

He averaged 7.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game for the Warriors last season.

'The 33-year-old Cheaney, an 11-year NBA veteran, started seven games for the injury-plagued Warriors, who missed the playoffs for the 10th straight season.'

"We are very happy that Calbert has decided to remain a member of our team," said Chris Mullin, the Warriors' executive vice president of basketball operations. "We've made a concerted effort to surround our young core of players with solid, team-oriented veterans who can help in their development, provide leadership and help us on the court, too. Calbert fits that description perfectly."
