The Chicago Bulls have come to terms with free agent Gary Trent, according to Marty Burns from Sports Illustrated. Trent, who played last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, is expected to sign a non-guaranteed deal and join Chicago for a physical exam on Friday.
"Gary wanted to be in Chicago," said his agent, Andy Miller. "He felt it was a great opportunity to join a team that's rebuilding and in need of his services. He also feels confident that he fits well with Coach [Scott] Skiles' mentality. He's a grinder, a tough guy, a lunch pail guy."
Trent joins a somewhat crowded Bulls frontcourt that already includes Antonio Davis, Eddy Curry, Tyson Chandler and Othella Harrington, but Trent gives Chicago added flexibility in case of injury or trade.
