The agents of several small forwards have been calling Pat Riley as that position remains a lean one on the Heat roster.

"If I was somebody competing for that spot, I would be damned if I would let me keep taking telephone calls from agents who are trying to ship me five or six small forwards who simply are defensive players, and I would take that personally," he said. "So we need toughness and we need somebody who can stop somebody. From what I've seen out here, we have players who, I think, have the ability to defend. So don't make me go out and get a defender. I have one here, but you're going to have to show it."
