The Rockets went 4-0 on their West Coast road trip as they defeated the Golden State Warriors 97-94. Tracy McGrady led Houston with 20 points.

Juwan Howard went down late in the game with what?s being called a sprained right knee. He stayed on the floor for several minutes before being helped off the court. He?s scheduled for further evaluation Tuesday morning.

This win extended Houston?s winning streak to 5, each against Western Conference foes. But it nearly didn?t happen. The Warriors outscored Houston 32-21 in the final quarter.

Mickael Pietrus hit two straight 3-pointers to pull the Warriors within 5, with 7:37 left. Zarko Cabarkapa hit two more 3 pointers to bring them within 4 with less than five minutes left in the game. Cabarkapa had a career-high 26 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double.

Pietrus tied the game with a four-point play, but a McGrady jumper and four Yao Ming and David Wesley free-throws put the game away.

Baron Davis, recently acquired from the New Orleans Hornets, was in the Warrior?s starting lineup for the first time tonight, replacing the injured Mike Dunleavy. Dunleavy missed the game with a sprained ankle. Davis totaled 8 points and 7 assists.
