Rasheed Wallace opened his big mouth for the second straight year, and for the second straight year the Pistons delivered on his promise. The Detroit Pistons got an important victory in Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon in Game 4 winning 89-76. The Pacers playoff shooting woes continued as they shot 37 percent and turned the basketball over 19 times.

Chauncey Billups had 29 points and 6 assists to help the Pistons tie their series with the Pacers at 2 games apiece. Rasheed Wallace scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to help back up his aforementioned guarantee. Stephen Jackson led the Pacers with 23 points and Jamaal Tinsley added 17.

Indiana?s big guns Jermaine O?Neal and Reggie Miller struggled mightily on Sunday afternoon. Reggie Miller scored just 7 points on 2 of 6 shooting. O?Neal continued his playoff struggles with just 10 points on horrendous 4 of 15 shooting. The Pacers opened up the game and took a 9 to 2 lead, and then Detroit put together a run to take the lead and never looked back. The closest Indiana got in the second half was 6 points early in the third quarter, but the Pistons countered with a 7-0 run and brought the lead back to double digits.

Before Sunday?s Game 4 Reggie Miller said that the game against Detroit was going to be a bloodbath. Instead, after the first quarter the Pacers just couldn?t stop the bleeding. Indiana will need to bring their best basketball into the Palace of Auburn Hills for Game 5 or they?ll be facing elimination at Conseco Fieldhouse on Thursday. You cannot fault the Pacers heart for their disappointing home loss to Detroit, it?s awfully difficult to win a playoff game when you?re shots aren?t falling.

Maybe in the post game news conference Rick Carlisle should have complained about the officiating, or Jermaine O?Neal should have guaranteed a Game 5 victory. But, that?s just not the Pacers style. They have and they will take their bumps and bruises and continue to come back fighting. They?ve gotten themselves into a best of three series with the defending NBA champions and that?s more than anyone expected of them.
