The Raptors have cleared the way for first-round draft picks Charlie Villanueva and Joey Graham to play today when the L.A. summer league begins.

Villanueva, the seventh pick overall, and Graham, the 16th selection in last month's draft, signed their rookie-scale contracts with the team yesterday.

Under terms of the NBA collective agreement, the Raptors have both players under contract for two years and then hold two option years on each. Villanueva is guaranteed about $4 million (all figures U.S.) and Graham gets about $2 million.

The team is still negotiating with the first pick in the second round this year, Roko Ukic, who is not expected to play in the summer league, while Uros Slokar, another second-round pick, is going to play in Europe.
