The Miami Heat announced on Monday that they have signed free agent guard Matt Walsh. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Walsh, a 6'6", 205-pound guard, averaged 8.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 26.4 minutes over seven contests while competing with the Heat's Summer Pro League team in Long Beach last month. He led the team in three-point field goals made (10), three-point field goals attempted (36) and total assists (15). Walsh started in four games, scoring in double figures on three occasions, while leading the HEAT in steals and assists on one occasion.

Prior to joining the Heat, Walsh spent the previous three seasons at the University of Florida where he averaged 14.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 39.8 percent from three-point range.
