It seems like just yesterday that the Spurs defeated the Pistons to win their second NBA Championship in three years, but that was the end of June and today is November 1st and that means the start of the 2005-2006 season.

There are four games tonight, beginning with the new look Milwaukee Bucks travelling to Philadelphia to battle the Sixers.  Between Andrew Bogut, Bobby Simmons, Jamaal Magloire and the return of T.J. Ford, the Bucks will feature four new starters tonight.

At 8:00 EST, the Kings travel to Oklahoma City to face Chris Paul and the displaced Hornets.  Paul is already getting heavy play for the ROY award, while the Kings have rebuilt with Bonzi Wells and Shareef Abdur-Rahim.

Also at 8:00 EST and on TNT, the Spurs will host the Nuggets.  In Game 1 of the 2005 Playoffs, the Nuggets upset the Spurs, but failed to win another game, so George Karl's club will be gunning for the champs.

In the nightcap, the Amare-less Suns host the Mavericks.  Few teams were as active as the Suns, as Joe Johnson and Quentin Richardson have been replaced with Kurt Thomas, Raja Bell and James Jones.
