Bulls coach Scott Skiles still is deciding how he will use the NBA's new inactive list. Unlike in years past when a player had to stay on the injured list for a minimum of five games, teams can deactivate different players each game.

Jannero Pargo and rookie Eddie Basden were inactive for the opener, but Basden -- who was signed because he's a big guard and a strong defender -- likely will be active tonight.

''I don't think anybody would want to make a change every single game or anything like that,'' Skiles said. ''But you look at [tonight's] game, it's a team we would historically get in foul trouble against, had a lot of trouble guarding Carter and Jefferson -- as everybody does -- and it would maybe make sense to have another wing player out there.

''Then you come back with San Antonio [on Monday] with so much size. I think you can juggle it to your advantage a little bit, but having said that, I don't know if it's something you want to do every single game. It's still something we're talking about a lot and trying to figure out. It's a unique thing.''
