Former Illinois star guard Deron Williams was all smiles before he made his first United Center appearance as an NBA rookie with the Utah Jazz.
"I love being in Chicago; it's like a second home to me,'' Williams said. "I'm just trying to come in with confidence, believing in my abilities and going out there and performing every night.''
Williams' night Saturday ended with an injury to his right ankle when he landed awkwardly after making a pass.
"I don't think it's worse than a sprain; I'll be good,'' said Williams, who finished with 13 points and four assists. "It was great to come back here, [but] it would have been much better with a win. I think this is my first loss [at the United Center].''
