The Toronto Raptors signed veteran free agent Darrick Martin on Wednesday to be their third point guard.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Martin has played 10 seasons in the NBA with Minnesota, Vancouver, Sacramento, Dallas, and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The 34-year-old Martin averaged 3.8 points, 2.5 assists and 17.3 minutes in 11 games with the Clippers last season.

Martin also played 30 games with the Michigan Mayhem of the Continental Basketball Association, averaging 15.8 points and 7.1 assists.

"He gives us insurance at the point guard position and will help our younger players develop," general manager Rob Babcock said.
