Keith Van Horn, off to a hot start for the Mavericks, sat out Saturday's game against Detroit because of continued swelling in his right hand. The forward dislocated the knuckle where his middle finger meets the hand in the New Orleans game Nov. 12.

He sat out one game before coming back Thursday, when he re-injured the hand against the Atlanta Hawks. Van Horn will be re-examined Monday.
