One of the Raptors' young prospects is dealing with a serious injury.

Point guard Roko Ukic, who was selected by the Raptors in the second round of the 2005 draft (41st overall) will be sidelined for a month due to a problem with one of his kidneys.

The Croatian star, who plays for Tau Ceramica in the Spanish elite league, was injured during a game at home against Pamesa Valencia on Nov. 25.

It was initially thought that he had suffered a bruised kidney, but further analysis has revealed a more serious problem than the initially expected.

Ukic was supposed to miss practices for 10 days, but is still in hospital.
