His playing time would not look more erratic if it were selected at random by a computer. But now that Dec. 15 has arrived and Earl Watson is eligible to be traded, the Nuggets guard promises: "No Ron Artest moments."

Unlike the Indiana forward who recently shocked his team by asking for a trade, Watson has done no such thing. And despite a million and one rumors about where he might be headed, he does not know if Denver will trade him now, later or at all.

"I've heard just about every team," he said Wednesday. "What does that mean? Who knows? You can't put a lot into it because it's just rumors. It's almost like high school. You hear a lot of things. You don't know if it's true until it happens."

Watson said he has steered clear of discussing the issue lately with general manager Kiki Vandeweghe and coach George Karl, and that neither has come to him.
