A report on ESPN.com stated that Lamar Odom went to Lakers management and asked where he stood in the wake of all the Ron Artest trade stories.

On Sunday, Odom said he hasn't talked to anyone in the front office about his future.

"I wouldn't do anything like that. That's not my place," said Odom, who reportedly was to be involved if the Lakers were to acquire Artest from the Pacers.

The Lakers have expressed interest in Artest but also have said they wouldn't put Odom in any deal. The Lakers have reportedly tried to acquire Artest in a three- or four-team deal but have been rebuffed.
