There is no room for Pape Sow right now on the Raptor roster and if he comes back and does play, it's going to be at the expense of Rafael Araujo.

It doesn't take a keen NBA mind to see the Raptors aren't going to sacrifice the minutes of Chris Bosh or Charlie Villanueva in order to play Sow, who's currently tearing up the Developmental League with the Arkansas Rimrockers.

"The problem is, right now, I don't have any minutes for him," coach Sam Mitchell said of Sow, who leads the D League in rebounding at 12.2 per game and who also averages 19.3 points per game. "If he comes back, that means someone is going to sit or someone has to go down."

And that would be Araujo, since Mitchell only uses centre Aaron Williams in emergency situations ? like when both Araujo and Villanueva or Bosh each get two quick fouls ? which means those can't be shifted to Sow.

Mitchell's explanation throws the whole Sow situation in the lap of GM Rob Babcock.

"Those decisions are above my pay grade," said Mitchell. "All I can do is, when asked, explain to people how I use guys and there are not minutes there.

"If you want minutes for him, some decisions are going to have to be made that I'm glad I don't have to make. It's not my job."
