Houston forward Juwan Howard has been suspended one game without pay for hitting Toronto?s Mike James in the face with the basketball, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Senior Vice President Basketball Operations.

The incident occurred with 5:55 remaining in the second period of the Rockets 112-92 loss to the Raptors on Friday at the Air Canada Centre.

Howard will serve his suspension tomorrow as the Rockets host the Denver Nuggets at the Toyota Center.
