The Houston Rockets claimed guard Rick Brunson off waivers from the Seattle SuperSonics on Thursday.

Brunson, waived by Seattle on Feb. 28, has missed 48 games this season because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot. In four games, he averaged 2.5 points.

Brunson has averaged 3.3 points, 2.7 assists and 1.4 rebounds in nine NBA seasons.
