Rafael Araujo, who speculated last week he could be on the verge of undergoing a season-ending scope on his injured right shoulder, is leaning toward trying to play through pain, his agent said.
"We're hoping to avoid the surgery," Diron Ohanian said. "The best way to put it is the doctor says he's 80%, which makes for a very, very tough decision. (Araujo) really wants to tough it out and at the end of the day, it's going to be Hoffa's decision."
Ohanian said Araujo will make a final decision within a day or two.
"He's got two options, surgery or rehab," Mitchell said. "It's what's going to be best for him."
