Saying he missed Wednesday's game with the Clippers to attend to "a family emergency," Amar? Stoudemire said speculation that he and the Suns are at odds over the timetable for his recovery from knee surgery is unfounded.

"I haven't felt any pressure. I want to be out there when I'm healthy and they want the same thing. It's in everyone's best interest," Stoudemire said after Friday's 108-102 loss to the Spurs. "I hope we're all on the same page with that, and I think we are. I missed the game for family reasons. I needed to be somewhere else."

But before the game, Suns coach Mike D'Antoni didn't sound like he was aware of any family problem involving Stoudemire, although he said he hasn't spoken with his player specifically about the matter.

"It's understandable to a certain extent because he's frustrated that he's not ready and we understand that," D'Antoni said. "But I expect all my players to be at the games. It's a little quirk that I have."
