The improvement in Chris Wilcox's game since arriving in Seattle has been obvious and his former coach acknowledges it as well.
"It's been good here, being in this type of program," Wilcox said. "It's a fresh start, the chemistry is there and this [fastbreak basketball] is my type of game, so I'm having a lot of fun with it.
"And the big difference here is consistency. Almost every night here it's the same thing. I know exactly what I have to do and what they expect of me. It just makes me more comfortable. It's better than not knowing and just being thrown into the fire."
Wilcox's skills are better suited to the SuperSonics' style, Dunleavy said.
"If you're playing an up-and-down game, it's going to be really positive for him," Dunleavy said. "This is perfect for Chris, and we got a guy who brought something we didn't have."
