Joe Johnson's inclusion with the other 25 players on the national team roster is a sign that his relentless work ethic, talent and potential are appreciated.

"I don't know if there can be a more solid player," Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "He can play four positions, he shoots, he defends and doesn't say a peep about anything. There's high maintenance, low maintenance and no maintenance. Joe's no maintenance... I think he's a star."

Johnson is a good bet to be one of the players named today to the travel roster for next month's World Championships in Japan, as the list is cut to 15 players.

The roster will be trimmed to its final 12 on the eve of going to Japan.
