With 4 seconds on the clock, Manu Ginobili hit Andres Nocioni in the corner for the game winning three pointer, but the shot missed, Spain controlled the rebound, and time ran out, giving Spain a 75-74 victory and a date with Greece in the World Championship final.
Argentina will now face off against the United States for the bronze medal.
Pau Gasol led Spain with 19 points and 11 rebounds, but sat out the end of the game after twisting his ankle. Manu Ginobili had 21 for Argentina while Andres Nocioni added 15.
