The Miami Heat announced today that they have exercised the fourth year Rookie Scale Option on Dorell Wright and the third year Rookie Scale Option on Wayne Simien. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Wright, a 6?8?, 205-pound guard, has appeared in 23 regular season games (two starts) and has averaged 2.8 points, 1.4 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 6.9 minutes. In his two career starts he has averaged 19.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.00 steals and 29.5 minutes. Wright was drafted by the Heat in the first round (19th overall) of the 2004 NBA Draft.
