Seattle SuperSonics coach Bob Hill got the kind of news Saturday that petrifies coaches: Ray Allen was injured.

Hill said he did not see the play so he didn?t know what happened, but Allen left practice to get his right (shooting hand) index finger X-rayed for a possible fracture.

As it turned out, the X-rays were negative and the team is officially listing Allen?s injury as a sprain. It is unclear how much time Allen will miss, but the injury does not appear to be serious.

?You worry that he gets hurt, on the one hand,? Hill said. ?On the other hand, you know he is going to get back as soon as possible.?
