Deciding to err on the side of caution, the Toronto Raptors kept Chris Bosh out of what turned into a 119-110 win over the New Jersey Nets because of a sore left heel.
"It wasn't really hurt, it's just a thing that progressed over time with a lot of playing," Bosh said of the injury that kept him out of Friday and Saturday practices. "It just became sore. It was just a precautionary measure."
Coach Sam Mitchell said Bosh tried to convince him he could play after taking part in the pre-game warmup.
"If it was a regular season game, he would have played."
