Andre Barrett quietly is making Bulls management ponder whether it can afford to keep another small guard on the roster.

"I'd argue that it's just as hard to find a legit point guard as it is to find a 7-footer who can do anything," coach Scott Skiles said. "There just aren't many legit point guards anymore. A lot of them are score-first guards."

Barrett, who had three points and two assists Friday, isn't that.

At a generously listed 5 feet 10 inches, he's a pass-first guard who has run the offense well in backup minutes.

"If he's not the quickest guy on the team, he's one of the quickest," Skiles said.

"He makes open shots. He has a good command of the team when he's on the floor. He's a hard worker. There's a lot to like."
