After Jason Williams infused life into the Heat offense at Monday's practice, coach Pat Riley said he is considering injecting the point guard back into his rotation as early as tonight, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel is reporting.
Although the plan had been to work Williams back slowly, Monday's display, which came on the heels of a lethargic 94-72 Sunday home loss to Houston, could have Riley fast-tracking Williams' return.
Williams practiced this past Thursday for the first time since undergoing July 21 arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.
"He was good today," Riley said. "He played the entire scrimmage and made our team look a lot different."
