Nets forward/center Nenad Krstic underwent successful reconstructive surgery of the torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee today, January 10, 2007, Nets President Rod Thorn announced.  The procedure was performed by Dr. David Altchek and Dr. Riley Williams III at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.

Krstic will begin rehabilitation immediately and is expected to be ready for the start of the 2007-08 training camp.

Krstic played in 26 games this season, averaging 16.4 ppg and 6.8 rpg. He ranked 17th in the NBA in field goal percentage, shooting 52.6% from the field, and had five double-doubles on the season.  Throughout his three year NBA career, Krstic has averages of 12.4 ppg and 6.0 rpg in 181 games.
