Clippers forward Elton Brand missed Monday night's game against the Detroit Pistons with back spasms.

Brand began having problems with his back during Sunday's loss in Indiana, and could not get it loosened up during early warmups on Monday. He scored 14 points against the Pacers, seven below his season average.
