The Toronto Raptors are going global.
The Raptors are expected to announce today that they'll hold 2007 training camp in Europe, with stops in Spain and Italy as part of the NBA's Europe Live Tour.
"If we go, I'm very happy of course," said Raptors rookie Andrea Bargnani, who's from Italy.
A Spanish media report yesterday said the Raptors will play a four-team tournament in Madrid versus the Memphis Grizzlies and Spanish squads Real Madrid and Estudiantes. Since GM Bryan Colangelo overhauled the team, their roster includes Bargnani, Spaniards Jorge Garbajosa and Jose Calderon, and Slovenians Rasho Nesterovic and Uros Slokar.
