Head coach Avery Johnson said he had no reaction to any overtures Scottie Pippen was making toward the Mavericks. He also said the team is leaning toward the status quo rather than bringing in a new player to fill the vacant roster spot.

"Right now, we are," Johnson said. "We've had some discussions and taken a look at a couple of different names. There's just not much out there right now. Nobody really got cut that we could have signed. We're just going to stand pat right now."
