Chicago Bulls forward Malik Allen was evaluated, treated and released today from the Florida Hospital in Orlando, Fla. for an irregular heart rate. He will return to Chicago this weekend and will be evaluated by the Bulls team physicians and the consulting cardiologist at Rush University Medical Center. He is expected to make a full and complete recovery.
Allen was not feeling well in the second quarter of the Bulls game at the Orlando Magic last night. After being evaluated by the Magic medical personnel, he was transported to the Florida Hospital for observation and treatment.
A timetable for Allen's return to the court will be established after he has been seen by the Bulls team physicians and the consulting cardiologist at Rush University Medical Center.
