The Golden State Warriors have signed guard Marco Belinelli, whom the Warriors selected with the 18th overall selection in the 2007 NBA Draft, to a contract, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Mullin announced today.  

Belinelli, a 6-5 guard from Bologna, Italy, was a member of the Warriors NBA Summer League team in Las Vegas, where he averaged 22.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 37.3 minutes in four games, while shooting 43.5% from the floor and 44.4% from three-point range.  On July 7, the 21-year-old made his Warriors debut in a Summer League game against the New Orleans Hornets, registering 37 points (14-20 FG, 5-7 3FG, 4-6 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 40 minutes.
