The Golden State Warriors have re-signed unrestricted free agent Kelenna Azubuike to a contract, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Mullin announced today. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
A 6-5 guard, Azubuike appeared in 41 regular season games as a rookie with Golden State last season, averaging 7.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per contest, while shooting 44.5% (98-220 FG) from the field, 43.0% (34-79 3FG) from three-point range and 78.2% (61-78 FT) from the line. Among all rookies that qualified, he ranked 11th in points per game and second in three-point field goal percentage.
