The New Jersey Nets have requested waivers on forward Rod Benson, Nets President Rod Thorn announced Sunday.  

Benson, who signed with the Nets on October 1, 2007, appeared in one preseason game for the Nets.

The Nets' preseason roster now stands at 19.
