With the Nov. 1 season opener just two weeks away, Heat coach Pat Riley has begun to address his team's lineup situation. Jason Williams will be the opening-night starter at point guard.

Riley went through the latter stages of the offseason declaring point guard an open competition between Williams and free-agent acquisition Smush Parker. But even with Williams slowed by a bruised shin, the incumbent has earned the nod.

"Obviously if J-Will is healthy, he'll start for us," Riley said. "He's in great shape."
